Update
Currently revising my essay in class. I haven't had a chance to do it because I was so busy with auditions and scenes for my other classes. I bought myself the new asus 2 in 1 tablet which included Microsoft Office. Now I never have an excuse for my format being messed up. I still have an idea of what I have to write to make it better. I have to include how the authority figures are responsible for not monitoring their children. This is the last class so I also have to comment on people's blogs, then if I have time I can even edit some old work to get a better grade.

Update
Hello, currently I'm writing my revised version of my essay. I'm taking in consideration the ideas you gave me during the meting we had. I know it doesn't take much for me to make it better I just have to find the time to actually do it. I've been so stressed with school and auditions for the In the Heights musical and pretty much anythings involving acting. But I just need to relax and just finish what I started to I can feel self accomplished. I came to far to mess up.
Happy Thanksgiving :-)

UPDATE
So I got my grade back for the research paper Draft and surprisingly it's a potential grade of a B. I'm happy it's a B because I know exactly what I did wrong with my essay. Since I was rushing to get it done because I had so much other work to do with my job on top of, I went of on a tangent at the end. My beginning argument was very clear that I thought media had a negative effect. At the end I tried to find a solution to lowering the influence by telling parents what they should do. Not that it was a bad idea but I went about it the opposite way. Instead I should have blamed the parents for neglecting their children and not being concerned enough. Also I need to include other reasons that my neglect children's well being like the schools or government. I will just do some grammatical changes and fix my last 3 paragraphs and I think I'm good for an A+. :-)

Update
Currently in the process of writing my research paper. I already have my introduction completed from the time we did it in class. I'm worried that I will either not finish, or it just won't be good enough in time for the due date. It's really hard for me to focus especially when I have time to complete an assignment. For some reason my mind seems to operate better when there's little time left. I know procrastination can be really risky, especially with assignments like this but it might be the only way I can do work. Either that or on the train is when my neurons are working best. Let's just see what happens while I sit here on my laptop. What
AND..... 10 minutes later I dosed off ALREADY!!!
What am I going to do with myself?

Update
Hello, I'm currently working on my introduction and I'm worried it's getting a little off topic in the beginning. My topic is on the negative influence media has on children but I'm introducing my essay talking about the development of technology. I guess you can see how they are related but at the same time, it takes me a while to get into my topic. When I let my peers read it they both asked "So what is your topic about?" Well mostly because I didn't finish writing my thesis but still, I took too long getting to the point. I think instead I will write a brief story relating to my topic to "segway" into my thesis statement.

UPDATE
Currently doing a rough draft of my outline. So far its very corny and A.B.C. once I finish with the basic style I will substitute it for some detailed information. I like doing the outlines because it gives me an idea of how to start my essay.

"When a television is in the bedroom, parents are less able to monitor viewing habits, children participate in fewer activities such as reading and hobbies and sleep is shortened." What they're trying to say is its difficult for parents to watch over their children at every given moment. Therefore, children take that as on opportunity to watch programs their parents wouldn't approve of. From my personal point of view there were numerous times when I watched inappropriate things while my mother was away.(757)
When the change from wholesome to explicit TV occured within two decades chdren were exposed to sex, drugs, and alcohol. According to John Hopkins Children's Center, "a study of 9th graders in six public high schools in San Jose, Calif., each increase of 1 hour her day off television viewing was associated with nine percent average increase risk of starting to drink alcohol during the next 18 months, and each increase of one hour per day of music video viewing was associated with 31 percent average increase risk of starting to drink alcohol during the next 18 months." the statistics doesn't necessarily mean that kids will definitely drink alcohol but, they specify it will increase the risk. The chances of teens drinking alcohol after watching TV or music videos are very likely. I can hypothesize that because children are still in the siege of developing identities they use media as a tool for advisement. (1)
Media can also have an effect on a males sexual behavior. According to "data from the National Survey of Children illustrated then mail to watch television have the highest prevalence of sexual intercourse." It's no surprise said males would be more sexually active after watching TV. The amount of sexual content that is shown on TV at night makes if easy for anyone not just males to be influenced. For example, shows like Family Guy or The Bad Girls Club, present indecent exposure. Media has confused children into thinking those kinds of behaviors are societal norms. (799)

UPDATE
In the process of figuring out what I want to do. I haven't gotten any ideas from the list of topics, I guess it will just come to me. I think I might consider doing Global Warming because there is a wide variety of information on it. I have done a speech presentation on it before so I have knowledge of it already. Not that Ii'm trying to get the easy way out by doing something I did already, but with my heavy load of other work it would save me a lot of time and energy.
